Millennials and Customer Service

Is it me or has anyone else noticed lately how customer service has dramatically improved at retail counters? I just left CVS, where a young gentleman couldn't have been more helpful with my pictures. I must be the only person to have told him lately what a great job he was doing, as he seemed quite surprised by my comments.

Are millennials taking their jobs more seriously these days because there are so few jobs to be had? Or did I just get lucky and stumble upon a few good employees?
