Like many of you, I belong to a number of social networks. I logged into my Linked-in account this morning and saw that one of my connections is directly linked to Kevin Bacon. I am as skeptical as the next guy so when I saw this I thought, “Oh, this must be a computer programmer by the name of Kevin Bacon.” I clicked further and found out I was wrong. I am two degrees away from the guy.
Would this ever have happened if I had not joined the social networking revolution? Doubtful, since our kids don’t attend school in the same state.
